Pilbara Wildlife

We spotted this beautiful creature a few weeks ago when we were off camping for the weekend.  He was right next to the dirt track when we first saw him and then when I bravely got out to take a photo he took off like lightning.

He stopped right next to this clump of spinifex, which happened to be the only clump in the middle of nowhere.  He camouflaged himself so well that from the other side of the clump you could hardly see him.  He was so still and as I leant out of the car to take his photo (not so brave now that I had seen how fast he could run) he raised his head and gave me a very clear warning!  Beautiful creature.
